WHEREAS,: the Commissioner of Public Safety has reported, in accordance with
Section 53 of -the City Charter, the existence of an.emergency during the period -�—�
from April 1st 1963_to April 15th 1963, which rendered necessary the employment
of certain employees in the Department of Public . Bafety for more than eight hours
per day, or forty hours per week, in doing the following work:
Maintenance work in the bureau of Police & Fire Alarm and
TAhereas, this emergency arose by means of the following facts and circumstances
Emergency repairing of Traffic Signals.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the proper City Officers are hereby authorized to pay the rn-1:
employees who performed such work ih accordance with the provisions of the Council's
