RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Purchasing Committee
therefor, and hereby awards contract for furnishing and delivering to the City of
St. Paul Water Department, Hamlin & Carroll Avenues, Saint Paul, Minnesota, Smith
Cast Iron Tapping Sleeves, Iron Body Water Gate Valves and Metropolitail Pattern
Inserting Valves and Sleeves, to THE A. P. SMITH MANUFACTURING COMPANY in accordance
with City specifications and the Formal Bid�#9113 of said The A. P. Smith
Manufacturing Company for the contract price of $8,081.35, such bid being the only
IL bid and said The A. P. Smith Manufacturing Company being a reasonable and reliable
bidder and the Corporation Counsel be and hereby is directed to draw up the proper
form of contract therefor, and the proper City officials hereby are authorized to
execute said contract on behalf of the City of Saint Paul.
