COMMISSIONE
WHEREAS, additions which might prove to be necessary in
the improvement described as the Grading of,Arlington Avenue from
Jackson St. to Westminster St., Comptroller's Contract L- 6474,
Armor -Coat Finishing Co., Contractor, have been provided for in the
specifications, and
WHEREAS, it has been found necessary to make•the following
additions:
Disposal of unsuitable peat material encountered in
sewer trench on Westminster Street and replacing it
with gravel:
289.0 cu. yds. Class 4 gravel ® $3.60 $ 1,040.80
Additional excavation required on Jackson Street ex-
tending the limits to meet existing grades - -lump sum 103.50
Additional excavation and work made necessary due to
break in water main - -lump sum 92.55
Total Additions $ 1,236.85
WHEREAS, the total addition is $1,236.85, now therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the City of St. Paul, through its City
Council approves the foregoi addition, made in accordance with the
specifications in the sum of 1.236.85 said amount to be added to the
cost of the final quantities named in the contract, known as Comp-
troller's Contract L -647431 for the making of the above improvement.
This additional amount to be financed from M.S.A. Funds.
The Commissioner of Public Works has agreed with the above
named Contractor that the sum of $1,236.85 is the correct amount to
be added to the above contract.
