WHEREAS, the City Council, pursuant to resolutioiff "ftuen1,=
ordered the improvement of Maryland Avenue from Ruth Street
to Nokomis Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the opening of such street necessitates an
application to the Railroad and Warehouse Commission for an
order establishing a grade crossing; and
WHEREAS, such Petition was duly made before the Railroad
and Warehouse Commission and is presently under consideration
by that body; and
WHEREAS, it appears desirous for the City of Saint Paul
to contribute to the cost of such grade crossing; be it
RESOLVED, that an offer of contribution be made to the
Railroad and Warehouse Commission whereby the City of Saint
Paul offers contribution of one -third of the costs of signal
installation at said grade crossing, not to exceed $10,666.00;
and that the Mayor and Commissioner of Public Works of said
City are hereby authorized to execute said of f er cf contribution;
and
RESOLVED FURTHER, that uporr acceptance =of said-offer
contribution by the Railroad and Warehouse Commission and the
Order of said Commission establishing a grade crossing at
Maryland Avenue, the proper city officers are hereby authorized
to execute a warrant in the amount aforesaid and to present
same as the cityt s contribution as , of oresaid to such parties
as may be named by said Railroad and Warehouse Commission.
