The 12th Annual National Square Dance Convention will be held in Saint Paul on June 20, 21 and 22, The Convention Committee would like the full cooperation FACILITIES of our city officials to make this a very successful convention. Ross & Mable Hatton Bryant 0 N. Bryant Ave. One request that we have of you and the Council is for a• street 400 Minneapolis 12, Minn. area where a Trail's End dance might be held. Our first choice would be Fifth Street between St. Peter and Wabasha, as the dancers will be congregating at the St. Paul Hotel and the Lowry PUBLICITY Hotel. Our second choice would be the area where the old bus Luke & Virginia Lukaszewski depot was located, where the St. Paul Winter Carnival has its 3713 N. York Ave. ice rink for 1963. I hope that the Council will permit us to have Minneapolis 22, Minn. our first choice as it will only be for one evening, sothe traffic interruption would be of little consequence. REGISTRATION & HOUSING It is tradition that Trail's End dances be held the evening Stan & Grace Taft preceding the convention. For your information, there will be 2428 S. Colfax dances held in a number of cities in Minnesota and Iowa the Minneapolis 5, Minn. evening of June 19th, which is the evening we would like to hold the street dance in St. Paul. I hope that the Council will permit us to hold the dance on Fifth Street between St. Peter and SOCIAL Wabasha on June 19th. jj Wayne & Gene Slocum VG Off 1426 S.
