WHEREAS, the Minneapolis Transit Co. and the
St. Paul Transit Co. have applied to the Minnesota railroad
and Warehouse Commission for an increase in bus fares; and
WHEREAS, the said railroad and Warehouse Commission
exists for the purpose of regulating rates in the public in-
terest, be it
RESOLVED, That the Commissioner of Public Utilities
and the Corporation Counsel are hereby authorized and directed
to take all necessary action and expend necessary funds to
obtain the services of a rate expert in order to protect the
interests of the City of Saint Paul and its citizens.
