COMMISSIONER DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, in meeting its respon-
sibility for the public safety of its citizens, has established
the Bureau of Civil Defense of said City;
1. That as a part of the duties of said Bureau is that
duty of education and 'training, more particularly as'-relates to
the Civil Defense Fallout Shelter Program.

2. That as a part of said program, the Director of said
Bureau and his staff have determined that certain graphic displays
will be of great educational and demonstrative value.
3. That such displays are available locally and can be
professionally produced by;Rutherford Displays, Inc., 405 Sibley
St., St. Paul, Minnesota, which displays are illustrated in the
attached sketch, herewith made a part hereof by reference, said
display having a production cost of $347.00 and containing photo-
graphs, medical and sanitation materials and data as well as
radiological detection information and devices; that three (3)
such displays are recommended, at a total cost of $1041.00;_,
4. That pursuant to appropriate Federal regulations, the
expenditure for said 3 displays will be reimbursed to said City
in an amount approximately 50% of said costs:
5. That funds are presently available to pay said costs.
now,, therefore, be it
RESOLVED:
1. That the City of Saint Paul upon the recommendation.of
the Director of the Bureau of Civil Defense, enter into a pro-
fessional services contract with Rutherford Displays Inc. for the
construction of such displays at a cost of $347.00 each, and of
a total cost of 1041.00, and the proper City officials may and are
hereby authorized to execute said contract, and
2. That all charges and costs hereunder incurred or to be
