PAUL OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK COUNCILAESOLUTION— GENERAL FORM 2129'5 COUNCIL FILE NO. — WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Public Works has reported, in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from May 16 to May 31, 1963 which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of the Department of Public Works for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the following work: Emergency street, building, sewer & bridge repair iCo en' File No. 212975 -sy Milton Dispatching men for emergency repair work Resolved, That the proper City offs - Jeers are hereby-authorized to pay cer- Dispatching motor vehicles for all emergency work stain employes in, the Department of f Public Works for • extra employment Operating equipment on emergency repair work as described in the resolution. Emergency calls for sewer maintenance ; _ Adopted by the Council May 2B, 19¢3. g y ` Approved May 28, 1983. • Tending fire at Asphalt Plant on Sundays & holidays I (June 1, 1963) q Taking care of complaints at city yards Drawing plans & specifications for grading & paving jobs Mimeographing grade profiles & revising house numbers Servicing municipal equipment Making up sidewalk assessment reports Inspecting city improvement jobs And WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances: necessity of answering all emergency repair calls,,keeping city streets free from debris, keeping fires at Asphalt Plant continuously, taking complaints at City Yards, completing plans & specifications for grading & paving jobs, need for grade profiles and house numbers, completing sidewalk assessment reports, keeping city equipment in good running condition, and inspecting work done by contractors on street & sidewalk work. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED That the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Council's salary ordinance, Ordinance No. 6446.
