RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held by and
before the Council of the City of Saint Paul, in the
Council Chamber of the Court House and City Hall, in said
City, as provided in Sec., 1.47 par. 2 St. Paul Legislative
Code, at ten o'clock A. M. on June 30, 1963, upon the ad-
visability and necessity of the repair, replacement, re-
modeling, or wrecking and removal of the two -story building
described as Except Street and Alley, Lots 7 and 8, Block
249 Mackubin and Marshall's addition to Saint Pau], accord-
ing td the plat thereof recorded in the office of the
Register of Deeds of Ramsey County, Minnesota; also described
as No. 588 Rondo Avenue, because said structure is reported
to be dangerous and unsafe to life, limb and adjoining
property.

Gentlemen: '
There is a two story building at 588 Rondo Avenue, Saint Paul
3, described as Except Street and Alley, Lots 7 and 8, Block
24, Mackubin & Marshall's Addition.
This building is frame and brick veneer, approximately 24 by
54, vacant and open. It was formerly a club and restaurant,
but is now completely gutted by vandals. Plaster and lath
have been removed from walls, window sash are removed, some
of the flooring is missing, warped, and humped. The building
is full of debris, deteriorated and dilapidated, an eyesore.
and beyond repair. It should be wrecked and removed as a;
moral and fire hazard, dangerous to-life, limb, and adjoining <,
property.
The last known record owner is Rhodalphus Ellis, 616 Carroll
Avenue, Saint Paul 3. Danger Notices have been posted.
Kindly institute condemnation action by setting a public hear-
ing date in accordance with Section 1.07 -2 of the Saint Paul
Legislative Code.
