SCHROEDER, City Architect 445 City Hall, Zone 2 CApital 4 -4612 Ext. 361 May 22, 1963 Hon, Council City of Saint Paul Gentlemen: In accordance with Ordinance No. 11542, the Car Mileage Committee met Tuesday afternoon, May 2L, 1963 and passed on the following requests: DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION AND PUBLIC BUILDINGS Commissioner Frank L. Loss requested a reduction in mileage maxi- mum from $75.00 to $37.50 for Benjamin M. Storey, effective May 1 through August 15, 1963. .Mr. Storey is working half days and the Committee therefore recommended favorable action. DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS A letter signed by John J. Eichinger, Administrative Assistant, approved by Commissioner Rosen, requested that Dennis Simon and William Williams, both Assistant Public Works Technicians,be plac- ed on B mileage - $75.00 maximum, effective May 1 through November 30, 1963. They will be construction inspectors for the Department and will be driving their cars extensively during the summer. The Committee recommends favorable action. It was also requested that Robert J. McMahon, Senior Engineering Aide, be placed on B mileage with a $75.00 maximum, effective May 1, as he will be construction inspector and will be using his au- tomobile in the performance of his duties.' The Committee recom- mends favorable action. SAINT PAUL PUBLIC SCHOOLS A letter signed by Raymond F. Browne, Business Executive, requests C mileage - $15.00 maximum for Mrs. Catherine R. Peavey, Substi- tute Home Instructor, effective April 3, 1963; Mrs. Alice E. Sulzdorf, Substitute Home Instructor, effective April 4, 1963; and Mrs. Marion Dirkzwager, Substitute Home Instructor, effective May 2, 1963 as they will be using their cars to a great extent'.
