A public hearing having been had upon the above improvement upon due notice, and the Council
having heard all persons, objections and recommendations relative thereto, and having fully considered
the same; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of St. Paul that the precise nature, extent and kind of im-
provement to be made by the said City is to reconstruct the sidewalk on both sides of
Sherburne Ave. from Dunlap St. to Lexington Parkway., except where good and sufficient
didewalks now exist.
and the Council hereby orders said improvement to be made.
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Commissioner of Public Works be and is hereby instructed and
directed to prepare plans and specifications for said improvement, and submit same to the Council for
approval; that upon said approval, the proper city officials are hereby authorized and directed to pro-
ceed with the making of said improvement in accordance therewith.

Gentlemen:
Your letter of May third under the above subject addressed to the
writer at 655 Charles Avenue has been forwarded to_my present
address, namely, 1114 Sherburne Avenue.
I wish to thank you for informing me of the approved above order
by the City of Saint Paul. I will be unable to attend the May 21st
meeting, but do want to go on record with the Department as being
in favor of a new sidewalk for the above - mentioned block.

liminary order of the Council, known as Council File No, 210262
approved Dec. 5th.
19 62 relative to reconstructing the side-
walk on both sides of Sherburne Ave, from Dunlap St, to Lexington
Parkway,
and having investigated the matters and things referred to therein, hereby reports:
