RESOLUTION APPROVING THE USE QF WARD 3 NEIGHBORHOOD INVESTMENT INITIATIVE PROGRAM
FUNDS FOR ENHANCEMENTS TO THE MICHAEL BElYJAMIN GLASER COMMUNITY PLAYGROUNP
WHEREAS, on November l4, 200"I the Neighborhood STAR Board reviewed Talmud Torah of Saint PauPs proposal for
enhancements m the Michael Benjamin Glaser Community Playgound; and
WHEREAS, the Michael Benjamin Glaser Communiry Playground will make a significant improvement to the school and
surroundin� neighborhood with the addition of handicap accessible playground equipment, benches, picnic tables and new
landscapina, and
WHEREAS, it is the intent of the Sai�t Paul City Couucil to participate in the financing of these activities by providing $15,000
from the Ward 3 Neighborhood Initiative Investment Progam allocation; and
WHEREAS, because this proposal is of substanYial communiry significance, a waiver of the STAR Guidelines in regazds to the $1
for $ I matching fund requ+rement is recommended; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that upon recommendation of the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.4 of the City Charter, the City Council does
hereby amend the 2Q07 budget for the N.I.I.P. program in the following manner:
