Winifred Street, more particularly described as Lot 18, Block 12, Blocks 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14, Prospect Plateau; and WHEREAS, it appears that the last known record owner of the property is Aaron Baran (Estate), c/o Harry Baran, 7901 East Prairie St., Skokie, Illinois, and other interested parties are Ramsey County Welfare Board, 476 St. Peter St., St. Paul 2; and Violet Bocke, 261 E. Winifred St., St. Paul 7; therefore, be it RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Saint Paul hold a public hearing in the Council Chamber at 10 o'clock a. m. on the 29th day of May, 1963, to consider any complaints about the expense incurred by the City of Saint Paul and to confirm the amount thereof; be it FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Architect notify by mail the record owner of the property in question at the last known address, as well as other interested persons of record. Council City of Saint Paul Dear Council Members: A-statement of expense has been filed with the City Clerk on this date for the purpose of creating a lien on the property known as 261 East Winifred Street, described as Lot 18, Block 12, Blocks 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11., 12, 13 sand 14 Prospect Plateau. This proper- ty is owned by AAron Baran (Estate), c/o Harry Baran, 7901 East Prairie st., Skokie,. Illinois CC: Ramsey County Welfare Board, 476 St. Peter St., St. Paul 2 CC: Violet Bocke, 261 E. Winifred St., St. Paul 7 In this matter, the following resolutions were adopted by the City Council: CF 209188, adopted by the Council September 21, 1962 (published September 29, 1962) set a public hearing at 10 A. M. October 16, 1962. CF 209588, adopted by the Council October 18, 1962 (published Octo- ber 20, 1962), orderied the wrecking by and at the separate cost and expense of the owner, occupant, or other person in control thereof. CF 209912, adopted by the Council November 9, 1962 (published November 17, 1962), directed the Commissioner of Parks And Recrea- tion And Public Buildings to enter the premises and wreck and re- move the dwelling and garages thereon, and to do any and all things therein necessary for the protection of life, limb, and ad- joining property. CF 210676, adopted by the Council January 4, 1963 (published Jan- uary 12, 1963), approved the award of the contract for wrecking to A. Kamish Company for the sum of $825.00 in accordance with specifications and Informal Bid No., 4723. CF 212487, adopted by the Council May 1, 1963 (published May 4, 1963) provided that the wrecking expense of $825.00 and expense of the Department of Parks And Recreation And Public Buildings in connection with the condemnation in the amount of $58.41, making a total of $883.41 be paid out of Wrecking Condemned Buildings, 31 G 22, and, in the event said sum proves collectible from the owner, same is to be credited to 31 G 22. Pg. 2 The buildings have now been satisfactorily wrecked and a reg- istered bill mailed to the owners. We are requesting that you hold a public hearing with ten days' notice to consider any complaints about the expenses incurred and to confirm the amount. The Council resolution.confirming the expense should end with a directive to the City Clerk to file a statement of expense for the purpose of securing a lien on the property.
