WHEREAS, City Architect, having requested the3 =�t:
City Council to hold a public hearing to consider any com-
plaints about the expense incurred by the City of Saint Paul
in removing a dangerous structure at 478 Palace Avenue, more
particularly described as Part lying Easterly of Chicago,
St. Paul, Minneapolis and Omaha Railroad Company Right of
Way, of Lots 15 and 16, Block 28, Sub. of Blocks 28 and 29,
in Stinson,Brown and Ramsey's addition'to St. Paul, the City
Council held a;'-public hearing on August 20, 1963 to consider
the expense and to confirm the amount thereof; and

WHEREAS, it appears that the City Council, pursuant
to C. F. No. 209990, approved November 16, 1962, published
November 24•, 1962, set a public hearing to consider removing
the dangerous structure, and the City Council by C. F.
No. 210318, approved December 11, 1962, published December 15,
1962, ordered the wrecking by and at the separate cost and
expense of the o weer, occupant, or other person in control
thereof, and the City Council by C. F. No.210905, approved
January 22, 1963, published January 26, 1963, directed the
Commissioner of Parks and Recreation and Public Buildings to
enter upon the premises and wreck and remove the building
thereon and do any and all things therein necessary for the
protection of life, limb and adjoining property and that the
City of Saint Paul has incurred the expense of 320.05 in re-
moving said structure; and
WHEREAS, it appears that Anna M. Neid, %211 Colborne
Street, Saint Paul 2; is the owner of -the prem3ses,'and that
copies of the proceedings were sent to interested parties,
i.e., Fred Kueppers, Jr., Attorney, 1814 Hillcrest Avenue,
St. Paul 16 and the Bureau of Public Welfare, 476 St. Peter
Street, St. Paul 2, Minnesota; be it
RESOLVED, that we, the City Council,of the City of
Saint Paul, do hereby confirm the amount of $320.05 to be the
fair, true and reasonable amount for such services incurred in
removing the dangerous structure; and be it

Please file a statement of expense in the office of the Register
of Deeds f.or the purpose of creating a lien on the property known
as 478 Palace Avenue, described as Part lying Easterly of Chicago,
St. Paul, Minneapolis And Omaha RR Co. %Right of Way,. of Lots 15
and,16, Block 28, Sub. of Blocks 28 and 29,. in Stinson Brown And
Ramsey's Addition to St. Paul. The property was listed in the
name of Anna M. Neid,%211 C6lborne Street,, Saint Paul 2. Copies
of the condemnation proceedings were sent to Fred Kueppers, Jr.,
Attorney, 1814 Hillcrest Avenue, Saint Paul 16 and*Bureau of Pub-
lic Welfare, 476.St. Peter Street; Saint Paul 2.
The expense was incurred by reason of the wrecking and removal of
the dangerous one and one half story dwelling therefrom. Follow-
ing is an itemized statement of the expenses of -this Department
as per Registered Bill No -. 4 -2211, dated June 11, 1963, copy attach-

We are attaching herewith a copy of Council File No. 214789
approved by the City Council ,on September 20, and to be pub-
lished September 28, 1963.
This has reference to the property at 478 Palace Avenue, de-
scribed as Party lying Easterly of Chicago, St. Paul, Minneap-
olis and Omaha Railroad Company Right of Way, of Lots 15 and
16, Block 28,'Sub. of Blocks 28 and 29, in Stinson, Brown and
R.amsey's Addition to St. Paul, owned by Anna M. Neid, c/o 211
Colborne Street,, Saint Paul 2 and confirms the expense incurred
by the City in the condemnation and wrecking of the dwelling
thereon, which amounted to $320.05.
As you will note., the final paragraph of this resolution
directs the City Clerk to file, in the office of the Regis-
ter of Deeds,- a statement of expense incurred, for the purpose
of securing a lien on the property, in accordance with Section
1.07 -7 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code.
