Resolution of Council Approving Assessment
and Fixing Time of Hearing Thereon
In the matter of the assessment of benefits, costs and expenses
for
improving LEXINGTON PARKWAY NORTH from the Northern Pacific Railway Company Bridge
(southerly of Jessamine Avenue), to the existing bridge at 384 feet northerly of
the center line of Van Slyke Avenue by widening the existing roadbed to a 57
foot width; by grading and paving the widened areas with new concrete base and
as p haltic•concreth surfacing; by resurfacing the existing roadbed with new asphaltic
concrete surfacing and repaving said roadbed with new concrete base and asphaltic
concrete surfacing where structurally unsound and not to proper alignment or
grade; by paving street and driveway returns; by constructing new curbs and side-
walks; by constructing 48" storm water sewer and reconstructing storm water drain-
age facilities; by reconstructing the paving, curbing and sidewalks on the inter-
secting streets where not in conformity with said improvement; by constructing
sewer, water and gas service connections from street mains to the property lines
where necessary; by reconstructing the existing traffic control system and by
doing all other work which is necessary and incidental to complete said improve -
ment
the above improvement having been submitted to the Council, and the Council having considered same

and found the said assessment satisfactory, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the said assessment be and the same is hereby in all respects approved.
RESOLVED FURTHER, That a public hearing be had on said assessment on the 16th
day of October, 1963 , at the hour of 10 o'clock A. M., in the Council Chamber of
the Court house and City Hall Building, in the City of St. Paul; that the Commissioner of Finance
give notice of said meetings, as required by the Charter, stating in said notice the time and place of
hearing, the nature of the improvement, the total cost thereof, and the amount assessed against the
lot or lots of the particular owner to whom the notice is directed.
