FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Corporation Counsel is further
directed to draft amendments to the-master contracts between
the City and Minnesota Hospital Service Association, St. Paul
Fire & Marine Insurance Company, and The-Minnesota Mutual Life
Insurance Company to provide for a total employee re- solicitation
period from October 1, 1963 to and including December 20, 1963;

FINALLY RESOLVED, That the City Clerk is hereby instructed
to deliver to the City's three health and welfare group insurance
carriers, copies of this Resolution.

WHEREAS the Council of the City of Saint Paul has
heretofore entered into an agreement with the Minnesota
Hospital Service Association and the St. Paul Fire & Marine
Insurance Company in order to make available to employees
of the City of Saint Paul certain health and welfare coverages;
and
WHEREAS, under the master contracts between the City -and
said Health and Welfare group carriers, employees have been
authorized to elect the types of coverages desired by the
employees with respect to their dependents; and
WHEREAS, at the present time, under the
there exists only a total of approximately 31
who have taken only the hospital coverage for

RESOLVED, That the Council authorizes and directs the
Corporation Counsel to prepare modifications of the master
contracts between the City and its Health and Welfare program
carriers so as to require that each employee desiring to be
covered under the, City's group dependents coverage program
