Engineers, to investigate the :li °s n an, alternate route for, ft, East'Mirvte.i- A ttr WHEREAS, The City of St. Paul has retained the services of Toltz, King, Duvall, Anderson and Associates, Consultant Engi- neers, to investigate the design of an alternate route for the Arch Pennsylvania -.East Minnehaha Highway; and WHEREAS, The City of St. Paul is responsible for the furnish- ing of all soil data and will retain a soil exploration company to make soil borings; and WHEREAS, Several locations at which soil borings will be made are located on private property, and it is necessary to acquire tem- porary easements from the record owners, the cost of such easements tobe paid from the PIR Fund No. 3001, to be reimbursed from Bond Fund 200-ST 32; and WHEREAS., An abstract has been prepared showing the legal de- scriptions on which the proposed soil boring holes will be located, the amount of the award to be granted, and the name and address of the record owner; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the proper city officials are authorized to obtain.temporary easements upon the properties shown for the purpose of conducting soil boring tests by the city or its agents and to pay for such easements the amount shown in the abstract attached hereto and made a part hereof; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to pay the sums as shown on said abstract from PIR Fund No. 3001, which fund is to be reimbursed from Bond Fund 200-ST 32,,for temporary easements for the purpose of conducting soil boring tests, the termination date of such easements to be determined by the Department of Public Works.
