jRESOLVED., That the Council hereby approves the award of tY-, Contract Committee
therefor and hereby awards contract for Grading Short Line Road from Hamlin Avenue
Connection to St. Clair Avenue, M.S.A. Project No. 64- 195 -08; Shepard Road from Elway
to Rankin Street
Street/ Project No. 64- 194 -07 to ASHBACH CONSTRUCTION COMPANY in accordance with City
plans and specifications therefor hereto attached and the Formal Bid #9431 of said
Ashbach Construction Company for the contract price of $627,382.83 (at unit prices bid)
plus $21,245.57 Water Dept. Chgs. plus $62,738.28 Engineering and plus $12,547.66
inspection by City Forces, such bid being the lowest and said Ashbach Construction
Company being a reasonable and reliable bidder and the Corporation Counsel be and
hereby is directed to draw up the proper form of contract therefor, and the proper City
officials hereby are authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the City of
Saint Paul. Appropriated from Bond Fund 200, Code St -9 - $246,500.00
