WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Public Safety has reported, in
accordance with Section 53 of the City garter, the existence
of an emergency during the period from March 1, 1963 to March
31, 1963, which rendered necessary the employment of certain
employees in the Department of Public Safety for more than
eight hours per day, or forty hours per week, in doing the
following work:
Clerical work in the Bureau of Police
WHEREAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts
and circumstances:
Lack of personnel to type reports and keep cur-
rent records up to date.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the proper city officers are
hereby authorized to pay the employees who performed such work
in accordance with the provisions of the Council's Salary
Ordinance No. 6446.
