RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF
HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT FOR AN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
INITIATIVE-SPECIAL PROJECT GRANT FOR THE AMES LAKE NEIGHBORHOOD
PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Phalen Village Small Area Plan (Plan) was adopted by the City Council in 1995; and
WHEREAS, to implement the Plan the Saint Paul HRA has previously approved a Loan Ageement for the acquisition of the
Ames Lake Neighborhood Project (Project); and
WHEREAS, the Ciry of Saint Paul is eligible to make application for funds under the EDI-Special Projecu Program (Program)
administered by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to be used for unprovements to the Project.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Ciry Council that the appropriate Ciry Officials are hereby authorized to apply
to HUD for funding in amount of $148,500 from the Program for the Project.
