PAUL OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK CIL RESOLUTION — GENERAL FORM 2.16442 FILENCIL NO.-_ WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Public Works has reported, in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from March 1 to March 15, 1963 which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of the Department of Public Works for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week*in doing the following work: F`- Council File No. 211642 —By Severin A. Mortinson, By Request — Emergency street, building, sewer & bridge repair Resolved, That the p rope r city officers are hereby authorized to pay Dispatching men for emergency repair work certain employes oriextra employment as Dispatching motor vehicles for all emergency work described in the resolution, p g g y Adopted by the Council March 13, Operating equipment on emergency repair work 1 Emergency calls for sewer maintenance Removing snow from city - streets & sanding icy streets Tending fire at'Asphalt Plant on Sundays & holidays pproved March 13, 1963. (March 16, 1963) Taking care of complaints at city yards Drawing plans & specifications for grading & paving jobs Mimeographing grade profiles & revising house numbers Servicing municipal equipment Making up sidewalk assessment reports Inspecting city improvement jobs And WHEREAS, Th-lid emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances: Necessity of answering all emergency repair calls, keeping city streets free from debris, keeping fires at Asphalt Plant continuously, taking complaints at City Yards, completing plans & specifications for grading & paving jobs, need for grade profiles and house numbers, completing sidewalk assessment reports, keeping city equipment in good running condition, and inspecting work done by contractors on street & sidewalk work. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED That the proper city officers are hereby_ authorized to pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Council's salary ordinance, Ordinance No. 6446.
