In the Matter of opening, widening and extending Curve St. from E. Iowa Ave. to Ruth St.
by condemning and taking those parts of Dots 1, 2, 6 and 7, Block 1, -Lois Addition Ho. 1 and
that part of Block 9, Furness' Garden Lots all lying between,the westerly line of Curve St.
and a line 40 ft. westerly and parallel to said westerly line of Curve St., also condemning
and taking an easement necessary for slopes, cuts and fills, including tie right of removal
of lateral support from the above subject land or remainder thereof occasioned by excavations
thereof or construction of slopes in the grading of the extended Curve St. from & Iowa, Ave.
to Ruth St.
under Preliminary Order 208376 approved_ July 31, 1962
The Council of the City of St. Paul having received the report of the Commissioner of Finance
upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, hereby resolves:
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved and adopted, and the said improvement
is hereby ordered to be proceeded with.
2. That the nature of the improvement 'whlch" the Council- °recommends_is _ to. open, widen and
extend Curve St. from E. Iowa Ave. to Ruth St. by condemning and taking those parts of 'Lots '1,
2, 6 and 7. Block 1, Lois Addition No.,l and that part of Block 9, Furness' Garden Lots all
lying between the westerly line•of Curve St. and a line 40.ft. westerly and parallel to said
westerly line -of Curve St., also condew and take an easement necessary for slopes, cuts and
fills, including the right of removal of lateral support from the above subject land or
remainder thereof occasioned by excavations thereof or construction of slopes in the grading
of the extended Curve St. from E. Iowa Ave. to Ruth St., in accordance with the blueprint
hereto attached and made a part hereof, the hatched portions showing the cuts and the
shaded portions showing the fills
with no alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof is $ 20,000.00
Resolved Further, That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 9th day of
A =ili 3,963 ,_ at the hour of 10 o'clock A. M., in the Council Chamber of the Court
House and City Hall Building in the City of St. Paul. That the Commissioner of Finance give notice of
said meeting to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, stating the time and place of
hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated.
