O'Connell City Clerk Building Dear Madam: This is in the matter of the appeal of Carl A. Braham to relax the 19 foot building line setback requirement from Jackson Street to zero feet on property located at the northwest corner of Acker and Jackson Streets which is described as Lots l and 2, Block 3, Drake's Addition. This property was rezoned to a commercial district on March 23, 1963 to permit the proposed development. The site is now vacant and it is proposed to construct a one -story commercial building to be used as a tavern on the site. The subject property has a frontage of 72 feet on Jackson Street and 95 feet on Acker Street resulting in an'area of 6,840_ square feet. North and adjoining is an apartment building; east and across Jackson Street is the tavern which will be replaced at this new location; south and across Acker Street is a trucking company ,parking lot; west and adjoin - ing is a vacant lot, farther west is a transportation company. Field investigation discloses no objection to the requested zero foot building line on Jackson Street, and the property owner to the north has filed a letter of acquiescence. In consideration of the above factors, the Board of the granting of the appeal to establish a zero foot Jackson Street on the above described property. HCW :FGI Encl. Z.
