RESOLVED, That the proper officers of the City of•Saint
Paul may be and hereby are authorized to endorse that particular
draft No. 2056308 from State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance
Company, which draft, in the amount ' of $621.40, represents
a settlement paid by said insurance company to Police Sergeant
Erhard Kaase, employee of the Bureau of Police, Department of
Public Safety, for any and all claims arising out of that
certain accident occurring on or about the 30th day of October,
1961, in connection with which said accident said City has,
pursuant to the Workmen's Compensation Law, expended $188.40
in medical payments and $428.00 in compensation payments to
said Erhard Kaase, and the Comptroller is hereby authorized
to accept the aforementioned draft showing reimbursement to
the said City of its expenditures in the total amount of
$616.40 and to pay by the City's check or draft the balance
of $5.00 to said Erhard Kaase; and
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Comptroller is hereby authorized
to ay to Samuel Goldberg, Attorney for said employee, the sum
of 154.10 representing one - fourth of the City's recovery,
as and for attorneys) fees for representation *of said Erhard
Kaase and the subrogation interests of said City in relation
to that particular automobile accident occurring October 30,
1961, involving the City's employee and James D. Miller; and
RESOLVED FURTHER, That of said City's net settlement of
$462.30, the sum of $188.40 be credited to Fund 31 Gl A and
the balance of $273.90 be credited to the Police Salary Fund;
and
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the proper City officers are hereby
authorized to endorse Draft No. 2056309 of the State Farm Mutual
Automobile Insurance Company in the Amount of $16.71 and to
accept the same in full payment to the City of Saint Paul for
damages to its automobile, driven by said employee in said
third -party accident, and that said sum be credited and accepted
in full payment of Registered Bill No. 3 -3802; and further ��1,9 t
