RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul,
that Chapter 726, Laws of Minnesota for 1963, approved the 15th
day of May,, 1963, entitled ;
"AN ACT RELATING TO MEMBERSHIP OF THE CITY OF
ST. PAUL IN AND PARTICIPATION OF DULY
DESIGNATED REPRESENTATIVES (' SUCH CITY IN
MEETINGS AND ACTIVITIES OF STATE AND NATIONAL
ASSOCIATIONS; AND AUTHORIZING APPROPRIATIONS
OF MONEY THEREFOR."
a certified copy of which is filed herewith, shall be and said
Act hereby is in all things approved;
RESOLVED FURTHER, that the City Clerk, as the chief
clerical officer of said City of Saint Paul, shall forthwith
file with the Secretary of State a certificate in form prescribed
by the Attorney General stating the essential facts necessary to
said approval of said Act hereunder and including a copy of this
resolution of approval of said Act.

RELATING TO 1EMBERSHIP OF THE CITY OF
ST. PAUL IN AND PARTICIPATION OF DULY'
DESIGNATED REPRESENTATIVES OF SUCH CITY
IN MEETINGS AND ACTIVITIES OF STATE AND
NATIONAL ASSOCIATIONS; AND AUTHORIZING
APPROPRIATIONS OF MONEY'THEREFOR.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1. CCITY OF ST: PAUL; MEMBERSHIP IN STATE AND
NATIONAL ASSOCIATIONS] The governing.body of. the city of.
St. Paul may appropriate necessary funds to provide
membership of the city in.state and national associations
of a civic, educational, or governmental nature which have
as their purpose the betterment and improvement of
municipal governmental operations. The city may participate
through duly designated representatives in the meetings and
activities of such associations, and the governing body of
the city may appropriate necessary funds to defray the
expenses of such representatives in connection therewith,-
and the governing body of the city by ordinance shall
establish suitable requirements for payment of properly
itemized claims authorized.under this act.
Sec. 2. This act shall become effective only after -.
its approval by a majority of the governing body of'.the
city of St. Paul and upon compliance'.with the provisions
of Minnesota Statutes,: Section`645.021.
