RELATING TO THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL,
AUTHORIZING THE FI:<.ii:G AND PAY;:1ENT OF
THE ANNUAL SALARIES OF ITS MAYOR, ITS
COMPTROLLER, 'AND SIX CDUNCILMEN.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1. Notwithstanding any prior general or
special law of the state of ititinnesota, or any provision
contained in the charter of the city of Saint Paul, its
mayor shall be paid an annual salary of $13,000, its
comptroller shall be paid an annual salary of $12,500,
and its councilmen shall each be paid an annual salary
of $12,000, all payable in installments and at such times
as the governing body of said city shall designate. This
section shall have no effect prior to and shall become
effective on July 1, 1963, and shall expire on July 1,
1965.
Sec. 2. This act shall be superseded and rendered
ineffective from and after the effective date of the
adoption hereafter of any amendment to the charter of
the city of Saint Paul increasing or decreasing any such
salaries.
Sec. 3. This act shall become effective only after
its approval by a majority of the governing body of the
city of Saint Paul and upon compliance with the provisions
of Minnesota Statutes, Section 645.021.
