OF SAINT PAUL, MINN

Recognizing the contributions to the United 8tates by Hmong American Servicemen and
worrzen
1 WHEREAS, many of the Hmong people who have immigrated to the United States have made Saint Paul
2 and the surrounding metropolitan azea their home; and,

4 WHEREAS, these residents and citizens, as well as their American-born children and grandchildren have
5 enjoyed the freedoms provided and defended by previous generations of Americans; and,
6
7 WHEREAS, more than sixty Hmong American service members have been and aze currently deployed in
8 Afghanistan and Iraq to win and defend the freedoms of others; now,
9
10 THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council does hereby honor these special men
11 and women for their selfless spirit and bravery; and,
12
13 BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council, on behalf of a grateful populace, does
14 officially offer its heartfelt gratitude and wish all of our soidiers safety during their deployment and a quick
15 return home.
