Resolved, That the proper city offi-
cers are hereby authorized to pay
certain einployes in the Department
of Parks & Recreation & Public Bu Id -�
ings for extra employment as described;
in the resolution.

WHEREAS., The Commissioner of Parks and Recreation and
Public Buildings has reported, in accordance
with Section 53 of the City Charter, the
existence of an emergency during the period
:,. from June 1 to 15, 1963, which rendered neces-
sary the employment of certain employees of
the Department of Parks &•Recreation & Public
Buildings for more than eight hours per day
or forty hours per week in doing the follow-
ing work;
Electrical inspections in the Bureau
of Public Buildings and extra work in
the accounting section of the Depart-
ment.
And WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the fol-
lowing facts and circumstances;
Weekend inspections required, and seasonal
increase in work.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the proper city officers
are hereby.authorized to pay the employees who
performed such work in accordance with the pro-
visions of the Councills salary ordinance, Ordi-
nance No. 6446.
