WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Safety has reported in accordance with Section 53
of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from August 1, 1963
to August 31, 1963s which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees in the
Department of Public Safety for more than eight hours per day, or forty hours per week,
in doing the following world=
Maintenance work in the Bureau of General Administration (Building Maintenance)
and
WHEREAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and ciroumstanoes=
Repairing the sump pump and adjusting the air filter in the Public Health
Building and relieving for vacation in Public Safety Building.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay the
employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Councils
Salary Ordinance No. 6446.
