RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Contract Committee
therefor and hereby awards contract for Grading Iarpenteur Avenue from Arcade Street
to Parkway Drive to J. R. WAMER & SONS, INC. in accordance with City plans and
specifications therefor hereto attached and the Formal Bid #9433 of said J. R. Walker
& Sons, Inc. for the contract price of $2,159.00 (plus $215.90 Engineering and plus
$43.18 Inspection by City Forces) such bid being the lowest and said J. R. Walker &
Sons, Inc. being a reasonable and reliable bidder and the Corporation Counsel be and
hereby is directed to draw up the proper form of contract therefor, and the proper
City officials hereby are authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the City
of Saint Paul.
