RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Purchasing Committee
therefor, and hereby awards contract for furnishing and delivering f.o.b. City of
St. Paul Water Department Storage Tanks at the Purification and Filtration Plant,
1900 Rice Street, c/o R. A. Thuma, St. Paul, Minnesota for period of one year from
and after October 221 1963,* approximately 1000 tons (2000# per ton) Crystal Alum
(Aluminum Sulphate) in liquid form to GENERAL CE MICAL DIVISION, ALLIED C1ffi+'11CAL
CORPORATION, at a price of $47.58 per net ton, making amount of contract
approximately $47,580.00, in accordance with City specifications and the Formal Bid
#9427 of said General Chemical Division, Allied Chemical Corporation, such bid being
the only bid and said General Chemical Division, Allied Chemical Corporation being
a reasonable and reliable bidder and the Corporation Counsel be and hereby is directed
to draw up the proper form of contract therefor land the proper City officials are
hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the City of Saint Paul.
