RESOLVED, that Northwestern Bell Telephone Company, as public
utility supplier of telephone service in the City of Saint Paul, hereby is
granted a permit for its installation and maintenance in Lexington Parkway
of
North, within the boulevard area of the same, /a telephone and accessories
thereto and an additional permit for the installation and maintenance in '
Vandalia Avenue North of a telephone and accessories thereto, in each instance
adjacent to the plant of Gould National Batteries, Inc., upon the application
of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 110, for the purpose
of the rendition of telephone service to said International Brotherhood of
Electrical Workers Local 110 for and during the period of an existing strike
affecting said Gould National Batteries, Inc. and said International Brotherhood
of Electrical Workers Local 110, and
RESOLVED FURTHER, that the location of the telephone and accessories
above mentioned within the particular street area shall be approved by the
Commissioner of Public Works and shall be established so as not to materially
affect the safety of public travel.
