WHEREAS, City Architect, having requesTded the City
Council to hold a public hearing to consider any complaints
about the expense incurred by the City of Saint Paul in
removing•a dangerous structure at 243 East Curtice Street,
more particularly described as Lot 21, Lawton & Meyer's
Rearrangement of Block 25, of Woodbury & Case's Addition to
Saint Paul, Minnesota, the City Council held a public hearing
on July 11, 1963, to consider the- expense and to confirm the
amount thereof; and,
WHEREAS, it appears that the City Council, pursuant
to C.F. No. 209050, approved September 13, 1962, published
September 15, 1962, set a public hearing to consider removing
the dangerous, structure, and the City Council by C. F. No.
209637, approved October 23, 1962, published October 27,
1962, ordered the wrecking by and at the separate cost and
expense.of the owner, occupant, or other person in control
thereof, and the City Council by C.F. No: 2099629 approved
November 15, 19629 published November 179 1962, directed the
Commissioner of Parks and Recreation and Public Buildings to
enter upon the premises and wreck and remove the building
thereon and do any and all things therein necessary for the
protection of life, limb and adjoining property and that the
City of Saint Paul has incurred the expense of 6198.41 in
removing said structure; and
WHEREAS, it appears that Martha E. Soles and
Ralph Soles, 1575 Timberlake Road, Apartment C, Saint Paul
17, Minnesota, are the owners of the premises and that copies
of the proceedings were mailed to other interested parties,
i.e., Ramsey County Welfare Board, 476 St. Peter Street,
Saint Paul 29 and Henry Burback and Mary A. Burback, 243 East
Curtice Street, Saint Paul 73 be it
RESOLVED, that we, the City Council of the City of
Saint Paul, do hereby confirm the amount of $198.41 to be the
fair, true, and reasonable amount for such services incurred
in removing the dangerous structure; and be it

We are attaching herewith a copy of Council File No. .214226, ap-
proved by the City Council August 6, 1963 and published in the
official paper on August 10, 1963.
This has reference to the property at 243 East Curtice Street, i
described as Lot .21, Lawton & Meyer's Rearrangement of Block 25,-
of Woodbury & Case's Addition to Saint Paul, Minnesota, owned by
Martha E. and Ralph Soles, 1575 Timberlake Rd. Apt.,C; Saint Paul
17,- Minnesota. Copies of condemnation action were mailed to
Ramsey County Welfare Board,- 476 St. Peter Street, Saint Paul 2
-and Henry and Mary A. Buyback, 243 E. Curtice Street, Saint Paul
7, Minnesota. This resolution confirms the expense incurred by
the City in the condemnation and wrecking of the one story frame
single family dwelling thereon, which amounted to $198.41. j
As you will note the final paragraph of this resolution directs j
the City Clerk to file, in the office of the Register of Deeds,
a statement of expense incurred, for the purpose of securing a lien I
on the property, in accordance with Section 1.07 -7 of the Saint Paul
Legislative Code.

The expense was incurred by reason of the wrecking and removal of
the dangerous dwelling therefrom. Following is an itemized state-
