A public hearing having been had upon the above improvement upon due notice, and the Council
having heard all persons, objections and recommendations relative thereto, and having fully considered
the same; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of St. Paul that the precise nature, extent and kind of im-
provement to be made by the said City is to reconstruct the sidewalk and integral curb on the
north side of Fifth St. from Smith Ave. to the east approx. 200 ft. abutting Lots 6,
7, 8, Blk. 55 of Rice and Irvine's Add. and by doing all other work which-1. is necessary
and incidental to complete said improvement except where good and sufficient sidewalks
now exist
and the Council hereby orders said improvement to be made.
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Commissioner of Public Works be and is hereby instructed and
directed to prepare plans and specifications for said improvement, and submit same to the Council for
approval; that upon said approval, the proper city officials are hereby authorized and directed to pro-
ceed with the making of said improvement in accordance therewith.

To the Commissioner of Finance of the City of St. Paul:
The Commissioner of Public Works, having had under consideration the pre-
liminary order of the Council known as Council File No. 211825
approved March 26th, 19 63 relative to reconstructing the side-
walk and integral curb on the north side of Sth. St. from Smith Ave. to
the east approximately 200 ft. abutting Lots 6,7,8, Block 55 of Rice and

Irvinels Addition and by doing all other work which is necessary and in-
cidental to complete said improvement.
and having investigated the matters and things referred to therein, hereby
reports:
1. The estimated cost thereof is $,9.50 per lin. ft. for 5" mono_.
integral curb — sidewalk 10 ft. wide. Extra work(excay., fill, reinf. cone.
rem•d, driveway crossings, block work, etp.) at extra cost.
2. A plan, profile or sketch of said improvement is hereto attached
and made a part hereof,
