RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Contract Committee
therefor and hereby awards contract for the Installation of Traffic Signals at
(New Signals) Montreal Avenue & Snelling Avenue; Montreal Avenue & Fairview Avenue
and Cretin Avenue & Randolph Avenue, (Revised Signals) Buford Avenue & Cleveland
Avenue; Maryland Avenue & Payne Avenue; Lexington,ffbntrea3- & W. Seventh; Case Avenue
& Payne Avenue; Park Street & University Avenue (Interconnections) Eustis Street -
Franklin to University to CCMKONWEAIlfH ELECTRIC CCMPANY for the contract price of
$34300.00 (Unit prices bid to be used in determining the value of any additions
and 80% of unit prices bid to be used in determining the value of any deductions in
the work to be done under the plans which may be ordered by the Commissioner of Public
Works or his authorized Agent) in accordance with City plans and specifications
therefor hereto attached and the Formal Bid #9363 of said Commonwealth Electric
Company, plus $2,104.75 Engineering and plus $626.00 Inspection by City Forces, such
bid being the lovTest and said Commonwealth Electric Company being a reasonable and
reliable bidder and the Corporation Counsel be and hereby is directed to draw up the
proper form of contract therefor, and the proper City officials hereby are
authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the City of Saint Paul.
