RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Commissioner of Public Works be and is hereby instructed and
directed to prepare plans and specifications for said improvement, and submit same to the Council for
approval; that upon said approval, the proper city officials are hereby authorized and directed to pro-
ceed with the making of said improvement in accordance therewith.

The Commissioner of Public Works, having had under consideration the pre-
liminary order of the Council] known as Council File No. 210336
approved December, 11 19 63 relative to Improving JACKSON STREET from
the north right -of -way line of the Great Northern Railway to Acker Street; ACKER STREET
from Jackson Street to rgortland Place and CORTLAND PLACE from Acker Street to Sycamore
Street, h� adbeds, by esurfacing the present pavement,
by constructing cam; by reconstructing intersecting alley and street returns and *ide-
w,alks where necessary; by constructing storm water drainage facilities; by constructing
sewer, water and gas service connections where necessary and by doing all other work
which is necessary and incidental to complete said improvement..
and having investigated the matters and things referred to therein, hereby reports:
1. The estimated cost thereof is $ 36,610.00
2. A plan, profile or sketch of said improvement is hereto attached and made
a part hereof.
3. Initiated by the Commissioner of Public Works_ X
4. Improvement is asked for upon petition

I transmit herewith a preliminary estimate of cost for improving
JACKSON STREET from the north right -of -way line of the Great Northern
Railway to Acker Street; ACKER STREET from Jackson Street to Cortland
Plane and CORTLAND PLACE from Acker Street to Sycamore Street by grading
and paving the widened roadbed; by resurfacing the present pavement; by
constructing curbs; by reconstructing intersecting alley and street
returns and sidewalks where necessary; by constructing storm water drain-
age facilities; by constructing sewer, water and gas service connections
where necessary and by doing all other work which is necessary and inci-
