In the matter of grading and surfacing with bituminous material the
alley in Block 1, Nelson Park from Chatsworth St. to the West Line of
vacated Rogers St. Also constructing a sewer for storm water purposes
from the alley to Scheffer Ave. in an easement to be obtained on, under
and across the West 4 feet of the East 7 feet of Lot 14, Block 1, Nelson
Park, under Preliminary Order 209782, approved October 31, 1962, and Final
Order No. 210685, approved January 8, 1963.
RESOLVED, That the plans and specifications as submitted for the
above improvement be and the same are hereby approved and the Commissioner
of Public Works be and he is hereby directed to grade and surface with
bituminous material the alley by City Forces at an estimated cost of $3,770.50
and the Purchasing Agent proceed to secure the necessary materials, and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Purchasing Agent be and he is hereby direct-
ed to obtain bids for the construction of a sewer for storm water purposes
from the alley to Scheffer Ave. in an easement to be obtained on, under and
across the West 4 feet of the East 7 feet of Lot 14, Block 1, Nelson Park,
as shown on the plans and specifications attached hereto, and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, That the cost of the above improvement including
engineering and inspection expenses amounting to $748.15 and Finance charges
of ;555.00 or a total of $4,573.65 plus the cost of the storm water sewer be
assessed against the benefited property.
