Council City of Saint Paul Gentlemen: LIC BUILDINGS 445 City Hall, Zone 2 CApital 4 -4612 Ext. 361 January 9, 1963 ,in 1119 The Car Allowance Committee met Wednesday, January 9, 1963 in my office and passed upon the following requests for mileage. OFFICE OF MAYOR Mayor Vavoulis requested that the Committee place Robert B. Gerber, Administrative Assistant on Class C mileage on the basis of $50.00 a month. This request is recommended for your favorable action.. DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY A letter signed by Thomas Shanley, Deputy and countersigned by Commissioner Robert F. Peterson requested the transfer of Com- missioner Peterson from B mileage plan to C - $75.00 maximum, effective January 1, 1963. This letter also advised that Thomas H_. Shanley Junior was ap- pointed Deputy Commissioner replacing Mr. Feldmann, who resign- ed. Therefore, it was requested that Mr. Shanley receive mile- age under C plan, $75.00 maximum, effective January 1, 1963 and that Mr. Feldmann be removed from B plan effective December 31, 1962. These requests are referred to you for favorable action. DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS A letter signed by John J. Eichinger, countersigned by Commis- sioner Rosen requested Mr. James Waters, Surveyor, be trans- ferred from C mileage - $75.00 maximum to B mileage $50.00 max- imum, effective January 1, 1963 as Mr. Waters will not be driv- ing his car full time. This letter also included a request that Mr. Ronald Grant, Sur- veyor, be placed on C mileage with a maximum of $75.00, effec- tive January 1, 1963. pg. 2 A final request was for Mr.,Frank Van Horn, Instrumentman, to be removed from C mileage - $75.00 maximum, effective January 1, 1963.
