WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Parks and Recreation and
Public Buildings has reported, in accordance
with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence
of an emergency during the period from December 16
to 31, 1962, which rendered necessary the employ-
ment of certain employees of the Department of
Parks & Recreation & Public Buildings for more than
eight hours per day or forty hours per week in
doing the {following work:
Processing payroll.
And WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the
following facts and circumstances:
Payroll preparation time shorter than usual.
THEREFORE, BE IT R>SOLUED, That the proper city officers
_are hereby,�authorized to pay the employees who
performed such work in accordance with the provis-
ions of th'e C'ouncil's salary ordinance, Ordinance
No. 6446. 1 _
