WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Public Works has reported, in
accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of
an�emergency during the period from March 16 to March 31, 196�+
which rendered neceasary the employment of certain employees of
the Department of P.ublic Works for more than eight hours per day
or forty hours per week in doing the following work:
Takin� care of complaints at City Yarda
Drawing plans ,& specifications for grading & paving ,�obs
Mimeographing ',grade profiles & revising house numbers
Making up sidewalk assessment reports
Inspecting city contract improvement �obs
And WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the following :
facts ar�d circumstances:
Necesaity of taking complaints at City Yards, completing
plans & specifications for grading & paving �obs, need for grade
profiles and house n�:unbers, completing sidewalk asaessment reports
and inspecting work done by contractors on street & side8alk work._
THEREF'ORE BE IT RESOLVED That the proper city officers are �
hereby authorized to pay the employees who performed such work
inaccordance with the provisions of the Council ' s salary '
