RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held by and before
the Council of the City of Saint Paul, in the Council Chamber
of the Court House and City Hall in said City, as provided in
Section 1.07 paragraph 2, St. Paul LegiBlative Code, at ten
otclock A.M. on September 29, 1964, upon the advisability and
necessity of the repair, replacement, remodeling, or wrecking
and removal of the two -story building on the Easterly 37 feet
of that part South of Alley, Lot 8, Block 16, Rice & Irvinets

setting a date for hearing in the matter of the condemnation of
the two -story building at 153 W. Kellogg Blvd., as more fully
set out in the attached letter of the City Architect.

Gentlemen:
An inspection was made of the building at 153 West Kellogg
Boulevard, described as Easterly 37 feet of that Part South
of Alley, Lot 8, Block 16, Rice & Irvine's Addition to Saint
Paul.
This is a two story building 36 by 58 and has a one story addi-
tion 20 by 30. The outer Walls are limestone. The east and
rear walls of the building have bulged, the roof is caving in
due to rotted roof members, plaster is missing and the building
is beyond reasonable repair and dangerous to life, limb, and
adjoining property. It should be completely renovated or
wrecked and removed.
The last known record owners are: A. L. Janes, Jr. and
Robert Elliott, W 1252 First National Bank Building, Saint .Paul
1, Minnesota,. Danger Notices were posted.
Please seta public hearing date in accordance with condemnation
procedure as; outlined in the Saint Paul Legislative Code,
Section 1.07 -2.
