In August 2006, Hnman Resources was asked by the Fue Deparhnent to conduct a job study for the Fire Tzaining Officer posifion. A
determination was made by HR that the position is worldng at a higher level. It was then decided the Deputy Training Cluef (formerly
Adwinistrative Manager-Fire & Safety Services) classification was appropriate. The Fire Supervisory Association, Bazgaining Unit 40,
was notified and were in approval of the change of rate for the Deputy Training Chief class.
Advantages If Approved: ,
The Fire Department's organizational shucture will be properly shuctured to manage the work being done. An individual who is
perFoming the duries of Deputy Training Chief will be appropriately compensated.
