WHEREAS, segnents of ezcisting sidewalk abutting the First Bank Building and the 340 Cedar
Street Building have deteriorated to the point where the walks are no longer serviceable, and
WHEREAS, Public Works has worked with the abutting property owners to facilitate the
sidewalk project, with Xcel Energy coordinating the necessary vault work, and
WHEREAS, the abutting property owners have agreed to pay for the sidewalk work, and
W HEREAS, a pxoject budget needs to be established to account for the spending
and financing of this work, so
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation
of the Mayor and advice of the Long Range Capital Improvement Budget Committee, that
$197,000 is availabie for appropriation in the 2005 Capital Improvement Budgets, as heretofore
adopted and amended by this Council be hereby fiirf.her amended in the Improvement
Budgets in the following particulars:
