Dear Commissioner Rosen:l:
In accordance with
herewith an executed Petition
Re: Milton- Minnehaha Sewer System
our brief conference this morning I am presenting
for Remonstrance.
This has been 'signed by representatives of all of the owners indicated
on the Petition. I call!;your attention to the fact that Tract 8, although owned
by the State Farm Life Insurance Company, is leased to Quality Food Stores, Inc.
Attached to the Petitionj` and made a part thereof, is a letter from-Bt -ate Farm
Life Insurance Company-to Mr. Molin indicating that the tenant, Quality Food
Stores, Inc., under the provisions of the long term lease, is responsible for
all taxes and special assessments. The letter also grants permission to Quality
Food Stores, Inc. to contest the assessment. You will find that Quality Food
Stores has signed the petition and the property represented by their interests
is set forth on the Petition as Parcel No. 8.
Since you indicated that the entire matter would be dropped upon the
presentation of the executed petition to you on behalf of the City Council, I
have advised my client and the other property owners that it is not necessary
for them to appear at the Council meeting tomorrow.
I should like to express, on behalf of my client and myself, our
appreciation for the prompt consideration that you gave this matter this morning.
Yours very truly,
RANDALL, SMITH & BLOMQUIST
