V WHEREAS,,�the Council of the City of Saint Paul, on August 9,
63, by Resolution, Council File No. 214287, ratified a con-
demnation of certain property owned by the Great Northern
__BAilwa,y Company and, apparently, in which other parties had
some n , , hich property for identification purposes may
be partially described as:
That part of�Lot 12, Block 1, Drake's 2nd Addition
to the City of St. Paul, lying northwesterly of
the-following described line: beginning at a point
on the northiline of and 18 feet easterly of the
northwest corner of.said Lot 12; thence bearing
southwesterly on a straight line to the southwest
corner of said Lot 12;

WHEREAS, the amount of the award was initially in the sum
of $600.00; and j
,n WHEREAS, the City had requested certain instruments from
the Great Northern Railway Company which entailed a delay in
i payment of such award, and the Railway Company therefore is
entitled to certain interest pursuant to Charter provision
by virtue of 'the delay in paying the "awar_d, the interest on
the awardaDvering the period from the time of award, October 9,
1963, to an agreed date in April, April 21, 1964, and amounting
to the sum of $19.20; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the proper�'City officers are hereby authorized
and directed to pay to the Great Northern Railway Company the
sum of $619.20 from PIR Fund, to be reimbursed from County Aid,
\,qquin full, final and complete payment to said Railway Company for
the aforementioned tract or parcel of land in exchange for a
claim deed from said Railway Company, quitclaiming to the
City all of its right, title and interest in said tract or
it
arcel.
