To the Commissioner of Finance of the City of St. Paul:
The Commissioner of Public Works, having had under consideration the pre-
liminary order of the Council known as Council File No. 218096
approved May 13th. 19 64 relative to reconstructing the sidewalk
on both sides of Clarence St. from Burns Ave. to McLean Ave. and by doing all other work
which is necessary and incidental to complete said improvement.
and having investigated the matters and things referred to therein, hereby
reports:
1. The estimated cost thereof is $• 3.25 per lin. ft. for standard sidewalk
5 ft, wide and $3.80 per lin. ft. for standard sidewalk 6 ft wide.

Subject: Petition of Remonstrance
Gentlemen:
Subject: Petition of remonstrance in the matter of reconstruct-
ing sidewalks on both sides of Clarence Street from Burns Avenue
to McLean Avenue, File Number S -7483. This petition was referred
by the City Council to the Commissioner of Finance for check as
to sufficiency. One of the requirements under Section 243 of the
City Charter states in part:
"Each signer shall write his name and place of residence,
give a description of the property owned, and the lineal
feet frontage of same."
The petition is incorrectly prepared for the following reason:
Legal descriptionsof property have not been included in said
petition.
