A public hearing having been had upon the taking and condemnation of the lands or easements
therein, for the above improvement, and the award of damages therefor, and also upon the assessment
of benefits therefor, and the Council having duly considered the same, now therefore be it
Resolved, That the taking and condemnation of the lands described in the annexed assessment roll,
identified by the signature of the Commissioner of Finance, and made a part hereof, and the awards of
damages to the owners of such lands for said taking and condemnation as set forth in said assessment
roll, be and the same is hereby in all respects ratified and confirmed.
Resolved further, that the said assessment of benefits, be and the same is hereby in all respects
ratified, and the same is hereby ordered to be submitted to the District Court for confirmation.

ers thereof, and the persons to whom such awards are payable; that he has also fixed and determined
the amount of benefits to property, from the making of said improvement, not exceeding the cost
thereof, and that attached is an assessment roll entitled as above and identified with the signature of
the undersigned, containing the undersigned's finding on said matters.

OBJECTION TO AWARD OF DAMAGES
In the matter of condemning and taking for a future playground by the
Department of Parks and Recreation and Public Buildings the following
described lots: Lots 1 through 8 inclusive and lots 19 through 26
inclusive, all in Block 1, Wilder and Dodgers Subdivision of Block 48
of Lyman Dayton's Addition.
In re: Josephine Gullholm of 730 Surrey Street, St. Paul,
Minnesota, owns Lots 5, 6, 7, Block -1, Wilder and
Dodgers Subdivision of Block 48 of Lyman Dayton's
Addition.
Under Preliminary Order 216695, approved, February 19, 1964
Intermediary Order 218489, approved, June 3, 1964
Final Order 218942, approved, June 30, 1964

COMMISSIONER OF FINANCE, CITY OF SAINT PAUL; AND TO CITY CLERK, CITY
OF SAINT PAUL:
You and each of you will please take notice that Josephine
Gul]holm, owner of Lots 5, 6, and 7, Block 1, Wilder and Dodgers
Subdivision of Block 48 of Lyman Dayton's Addition, does hereby and
herewith object to the award of damages heretofore made in the above-
entitled matter in the amount of Seventeen Thousand Dollars ($17,000•00)
on the grounds that said award is inadequate and is contrary to law and
does not fairly compensate the owner of said property for the taking of her
property.

That said award in the amount of Seventeen Thousand Dollars
($17,000.00) is hereby and herewith objected to and appealed from, and
that said owner hereby and herewith demands an award of damages for the
taking of said property in the amount of Twenty -two Thousand Five
Hundred Dollars ($22,500.00)•
