PAUL ;ISf]EI7F cou d OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK '° cil File No. 219641 -13y Robert AL FORM .erson— . solchd, B�r the Council 04 the '' r PRESENTED BY 1 `'o '' this Conr il's COMMISSIONS y "H .;;IT 1 a- a, Ah�\ •. �I o RESOLVED FURTHER, That that the most appropriate method obligation of said City of Saint COUNCILMEN RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of Saint Paul, that this Council's prior approval of that certain Resolution No. 956, adopted by the Board of Trustees of Minneapolis - Saint Paul Sanitary District April 9, 1962, under its Resolu- tion, Council File No. 207616, approved June 12, 1962, hereby is confirmed, the same,'said Resolution No. 956, having by its provisions modified the comprehensive plan of said Sanitary Dis- trict as adopted November 13, 1933, and as then modified, pur- suant'to and by authority of Chapter 341, Minnesota Session Laws for 1933, designated "Project I -10" for the construction of the Sewage System and Treatment Plant of said Sanitary District and a program of procedure and work for the collection, treatment and disposal of sewage and waste materials of said Ye Sanitary District, so that thereby provision has-been made for the expansion of the Sewage System and Treatment Plant of said Sanitary District during the years 1963, 1964 and 1965, at an estimated and probable cost of $21,710,000.00, such expansion to involve capital additions to said Sewage System and Treat- ment Plant which shall provide additional capacity of said Treatment Plant and increased facilities therein for secondary treatment of sewage and waste materials by the high -rate activated sludge process, among other things, all as more particularly appears from such comprehensive plan as the same has been ` modified by said Resolution No. 956; and said Sanitary District, in-accordance with said Resolution No. 956 having provided for the construction of an uncompleted part of the subject expansion of said Sewage .System and--Treatment Plant.,in- the.year 1965 at, an estimated and probable cost of $9,08`5,964.00; and on such account has adopted thereof its "Capital Additions" portion of the Budget of said Sanitary District for the year 1965, in said last mentioned amount and has apportioned the same for payment as follows: $3,957,846.00 by said City of Saint Paul and $5,128,118.00 by the City of Minneapolis, according to said Chapter 341, Minnesota Session Laws for 1933, as amended; Chapter 445, Minnesota Statutes.-Annotated; and Yeas Nays Dalglish Holland Loss Meredith Peterson Rosen Mr. President, Vavoulis 10M 6,62 Tn Favor Against said Council hereby determines for the financing of the apportioned Paul on account of said "Capital Adopted by the Council 19—. Additions" Sanitary District 1965 Budget portion, in regard to payment on account of the portion of such expansion of said Sewage System and Treatment Plant to be constructed during the year 1965, is that which will involve both the issuance and sale of Sewage Disposal System Bonds of said City, authorized by said Chapter 341, Minnesota Session Laws for 1933, as amended; Chapter 445, Minnesota Statutes Annotated, as amended, and the appropriation of available funds of said City otherwise derived and accordingly determines to employ such method of financing therefor; and that the Corporation Counsel hereby is directed to prepare a proper form of Ordinance for the issuance and sale of the Sewage Disposal System Bonds of said City in the par value amount of $2,500,000.00 authorized to be issued and sold by said City for said purpose and similar purposes under and by said State Statutes, it being provided that the proceeds of the issuance and sale of such bonds, $2,500,000.00 as the same sliall be authorized by such Ordinance, shall be applied to the partial payment of said City's obligation on account of said apportionment to said City under said "Capital Additions" item of said Budget and the apportionment to said City of such part of the cost of the portion of the expansion work aforesaid so provided to be done in the year 1965; and that other funds of said City available therefor in the requisite amount shall be appropriated to the payment of the remainder of the same. ._RESOLVED FURTHER, That each such Sewage Disposal System Bond shall -be entitled, "City of Saint Paul Sewage Dis- posal System Bond, �Ser.ies_1964 B.
