1-110-RFAS, the City of Sint Paul, by and through its
Department of Public Safety, has acquired possession of and
still retains one Ahrens -Fox fire piunper engine and one Seagrave
Water Tower engine, which vehicles are antique in nature, being
among the earliest forms of motor- driven, self- propelled fire
apparatus; and
�;HLJit.LJAS, said fire apparatus is of no value to said City
or Jepartriient, there being no prospective purchasers, and said
City and Department being unwilling to retain said fire apparatus
for purely antique valLB ; and
'..'H:t3IAS, the I.:innesota Historical L;ociety has expressed
a willingness and a desire to acquire one or both of said fire
apparatus, now, therefore, be it

the gift of antique fire apparatus to the Minnesota Historical
Society. Would you arrange to secure the approval of Chief
Shortridge. The resolution is in proper form for introduction
at this time, since the approval of the Comptroller can be
secured either at the Council meeting or subsequent thereto.

Dear Mr. Faricy:
The St. Paul Fire Department -has one antique
Ahrens -Fox fire pumper engine and one Seagrave
Water Tower engine which it wishes to donate
to The Minnesota Historical Society as there
is no market for selling these engines, and
we are in need of the space that these engines
are taking up.
