RESOLVED, That upon the report and recommendation
of the Valuation Engineer of the City of Saint Paul and
pursuant to Seation� 303 of the Charter of the City of Saint
Paul, the acquisit�.on of the property Irnown as 742 Surrey
Avenue and legally described as:
Lot two (2), B1ock one (1), Wilder & Dodge �s
Subd�n of S1k.�F8 of Lyman Dayton� s Addition, ac-
cording to the plat thereof on file and of record •
in the Office ,of the Register of Deeds in and for
Rams'ey County,. Minnesota;
hereby is approved ,,and ratified, and the property City officers.j
are hereby authorized and directed to pay to Fletcher Swanson, "
owner of said property, and to Raymond J. Kowarsch and Betty L.
Kowarsch, contract purchasers of said property, the sum of
�$9,500.00, said aum to be paid to the aforesaid parties from
Fund 3700-501 upon their furnish�.ng an abstract of title, con-
t nued to date, evidencing good marketable ti�le in Fletcher
Sw nson and upon tender by the owner and contract purchasers
of ppropriate deeds, said property to be used for the proposed
Van ren Playgrourid as a replacement for the Bluff Play�round
which was taken by;.the State of Minnesota under approp�riate
condemnation proceedings; and
� RESOLVED FURTHER, That Resolution of the Council, Council
File No. 218985, approved July 1., 1g6�+, is hereby superseded. _
